OUR WHY

My name is Chris Freeman, and I’m the owner of Freeman Business Solutions, LLC.  Believe it or not, my passion for business started on the golf course. Growing up, I was obsessed with the sport — not just playing it, but studying the numbers behind my game. I wanted to understand why I played well one day and not the next. Tracking stats showed me where I needed to improve, and before long, I was building strategies for each round based on my strengths.

 

Golf also put me in the company of many business owners and successful professionals, while my father — a respected North Carolina roofer — ran his own company. From him, I saw both the highs of entrepreneurship and the devastating lows. Despite delivering excellent service, his business ultimately closed, and he faced bankruptcy. I was by his side through it all, and it planted a deep frustration — and a drive — in me. How could a business doing everything right for its customers end in financial collapse?

In college, an accounting course grabbed my attention. For me, financial data was like golf stats — numbers that told the real story. They revealed the “why” behind performance and gave a clear path forward. My father once told me he wished he had spent more time on this side of business, and that conversation became the seed for Freeman Business Solutions.

 

When my father passed away in 2012 — a loss I believe was worsened by the stress of his bankruptcy — my “why” became crystal clear. From day one of starting this adventure, my company's intention has been to support business owners who need the same things my Father needed when he was running his.  Too many small business owners fail because of something that has almost nothing to do with the end product their customer receives, and that's where Freeman Business Solutions comes in.  We're here to support you every step of the way and become a partner as you continue to grow and succeed.
